Our MCAR Committees

Our MCAR committees are a great way to get involved, stay connected, and help shape the future of our association. We encourage all members to attend any committee meetings that interest them. There’s no long-term commitment required, and you’re always welcome to participate at any time throughout the year. Whether you’re looking to contribute ideas, learn more about how the association operates, or simply connect with fellow members, committees offer a place for everyone to engage, collaborate, and make a difference.

Community Impact Team

This brand new committee meets to discuss how MCAR can help our community--from children to youth and everyone in between. We are proud to work alongside Wings for the Future, a nonprofit that helps by assisting any local schools in need.

From hosting cultural awareness events to fostering fair housing education, this committee plays a vital role in ensuring that every member — and every client — feels seen, respected, and valued.

Education

Find and coordinate clock-hour classes, secure locations, and keep our members up to date — especially during important cycles like the required Code of Ethics year.

Government Affairs

Shape the future of Mason County and beyond!

This committee tracks political developments, supports important local initiatives like school levies and zoning issues, and recommends advocacy actions to the Board of Directors.

(Bonus: It's a key committee for REALTORS® and members who want to make their voices heard!)

Installation Dinner & Auction

Throw the party of the year!

This committee plans our annual Installation Dinner — setting up everything from the menu and entertainment to the induction of our new Board of Directors. This committee is chaired by the incoming president. Plus, help organize the live auction fundraiser benefiting our local Mason County kids.

OysterFest

Chair: Amber Shrum | Mason County Cleanouts

We need a co-chair!

Mason County’s favorite (and most delicious) tradition!

Our 2026 OysterFest (October 3rd & 4th) is already raring to go! MCAR has a famous booth, serving our legendary Oysters Rockefeller. The committee begins planning early and prepares the shift schedules, the necessary permits, getting people involved, and more! 100% of the funds from this weekend go to our Scholarship Fund.

This committee manages the nomination process and selects our prestigious REALTOR® and Affiliate of the Year awards, which are nominated through the membership.

RPAC

Support the future of real estate!

RPAC raises funds for REALTOR®-friendly candidates and advocates for policies that protect property rights — and your bottom line. Help plan exciting fundraisers, recognize RPAC investors, and promote the benefits of investment in our industry.

School Supplies

This committee organizes our annual School Supply Drive, gathering and distributing essential supplies to help local students start the school year strong. Join us in supporting education and giving kids the tools they need to succeed!

This committee helps to find speakers for our MCAR General Membership meetings on January, March, May, July, September, and November. This committee helps find speakers of value for our membership and arranges the time and date.
